Our Story
Paws, Packs, & Snacks began with our Great Dane and a simple recommendation from a dog trainer to try liver treats. After searching online, we quickly realized that many of the options available were expensive and often arrived crushed or poor in quality. Wanting something better for our own dog, we started researching how to make freeze-dried treats ourselves.
What seemed like a small idea turned into a much bigger discovery when we learned about the cost and capability of freeze-drying equipment. If we were going to make the investment, we wanted to do it with purposeâcreating high-quality treats not only for our dog, but for other pet owners as well.
When I shared the vision with my boys, they were immediately excited and wanted to be part of building something of their own. What started as a solution for one dog quickly became a family business focused on responsibility, creativity, and learning real-world skills together.
As a mother, one of the greatest rewards of this journey has been the opportunity to teach my children about entrepreneurshipâlessons that often aren't taught in a traditional classroom. Through this business, they are learning the value of hard work, responsibility, problem-solving, customer service, and what it means to build something from the ground up.
Our family business also includes a son on the autism spectrum who prefers working behind the scenes rather than being in the spotlight. While you may not see him interacting with customers, he plays an important role in our operation. Through Paws, Packs, & Snacks, he is learning that his unique strengths have value and that dedication, reliability, and perseverance are qualities that contribute to success in business and in life.
At Paws, Packs, & Snacks, every batch represents more than just treatsâit represents growth, hard work, and doing things the right way. As a family, we believe in committing our plans to God and trusting Him with the journey ahead.
